As part of the TIKA project, the CIRES team, led by its Director, Dr. Ibrahim DIARRA, met on Thursday, September 25, with Ms. Adjaratou N’DIAYE, UN Women’s Resident Representative in Côte d’Ivoire, to discuss the issue of unpaid care work. The discussions highlighted the strategic importance of unpaid care work, which remains largely overlooked in public policies and development frameworks. A central focus of the discussion was the need to generate greater interest among institutional and community stakeholders to promote better recognition, reduction, and redistribution of these tasks, which are predominantly performed by women.
