Awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics for her work on “global poverty alleviation,” Franco-American economist Esther Duflo, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), honored CIRES with a visit on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the presence of Professor BALLO ZIE, President of Félix Houphouët Boigny University in Cocody; Dr. DIARRA Ibrahim, Director of CIRES; and Professor ALBAN AHOURE, Director of CAPEC.
This visit was part of a working session with CIRES’s Economic Policy Analysis Unit, with a view to future collaboration.
